3-1!!!!!!

Well I gotta say it.... YES!!!!!!! If only I could have watched the game last night, I would have
loved to rub it in.... But like all good things there is a downside. The thing that really ticks me off is this: Today on the radio the Edmonton fans are like, "Man this is the first time since 93 that we have come close to bringing the cup back to Canada." Do Edmonton fans even watch hockey!!?? Two years ago the Flames nearly beat the Lightning, and they were a whole lot closer to winning that Edmonton ever was.... oh well what can you do, I guess you can't expect too much from a Oilers fan. Well now we get a month and half off before it all starts again and we get to watch Calgary bring the cup back to Canada.

Ummm maybe someone who actually played hockey and not video games should write about it.

ouch! I'll chalk that down as a sore loser comment.

so do you mean closer as in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, according to my calculations that's as close as you can get?

No Nick, I mean closer as in would have won in game six except for some really bad calls by the refs.

Oh Corky, as much as you think it may be a sore loser comment, i'm going to have to agree with mark's analysis of the situation, someone who has played hockey for years likely knows more than someone who hasn't, just like you would know a lot more about being a youth pastor than i would...hopefully

Hey Nick, while I will agree that someone who has played hockey for years may have a greater insight/analysis of the game, It does not mean that those of us who only watch don't have insight and legitimate comments about what we see. Maybe it is helpful if we step away from Hockey and go to something like Politics. This topic is always a favorite of bloggers to talk about, but 99% of the people only talk about what they have seen and heard on TV. They have no idea what it is like to be in Parliament. To try and run a nation the best way that they can. But this little fact doesn't stop us from pretending that we know better. I think a prime example is President Bush. By your logic, Until we have walked in the shoes of Bush we can't say that he is making bad choices... because we haven't played the game. Do I think Bush has made good decisions and is leading his country in a way that is beneficial to the US and the World? No, but that is only based on what I see and hear. Just like my analysis of Hockey.

Valid point Nathan, let's just not play the 'should've been a goal in the middle of game 6' card. If it had been in OT then i would understand the argument that it prevented a cup victory. But that situation was not like Brett Hull against Buffalo in OT, THAT stole the cup.
