So last night I had the great pleasure of watching Batman Begins. Now I have to confess that I have always been a Batman fan, I even chuckle at the old Adam West Batman, and when Batman and Robin got trashed as being one of the worst movies EVER, I still thought it was pretty cool, why? Because Batman is a "real" person, there is no super power that allows him to fly (just some cool technology) and he can't see through walls, shoot lasers out of his eyes, have knives come flying out of his hands, he's just like me... with a couple billion dollars more and killer abs, but he is a human with a good heart. After watching Batman Begins I can't help but feel that this is how Batman movies are supposed to be, dark, scary, and VERY COOL! I thought it was interesting how the focused on Bruce and his humanity, and his struggle to over come his own issues. I think there is a good message for us there. Justice! It is vital to the health of any society, and when good people refuse to do anything, they become part of the problem. If you haven't seen it yet, I would recommend it. I think it is probably one of my favorite movies of the year... but then again I'm a bit of a batfan to begin with.
