Nickel Creek

So there is this band I've been hearing about a lot lately from some friends of mine called Nickel Creek. They were one of those bands that your friends rave about, but you never remember to go and check out... well anyway thanks to Jon, I found their link and checked them out on myspace. All I can say is AWESOME!! I'm not normally a bluegrass kinda guy, but wow! Go over to their myspace and listen to couple songs. Two of my fav's are Their cover of Britney Spears (she could never sound that good) and their song "Doubting Thomas" I'm not sure where these guys are with their walk with God, but there is some awesome stuff in these lyrics, check it out...

Anyone have an extra $80,000 US that you don't need? The Edge's 1975 Cream Gibson Les Paul Custom is up for sale on ebay to raise some money for Music Rising. I just wonder... would owning a guitar by a guitar great make me a better player? Or do I still have to practice? Got these baby's in the mail yesterday!!! Two Tickets to sit at the opposite end of the arena for John Mayer!! Can't wait!!!! And to get you in the mood you can check out Neon live and acoustic down at the bottom..... so amazing!!!

John Mayer

Before I die there are three concerts that I want to experience. U2, Dave Matthews Band, and John Mayer. Well today at Ten O'clock this morning I got my tickets for one of those three!!! Niki and I are going to see John Mayer on April 26 at the MTS center. I can't WAIT!!! It will be an awesome show. And if he play's Neon, I'll die with a smile on my face.

It's Official

Niki and I are going on a date... yup a real one. And this isn't one of those were someone else is paying... nope it's a genuine $68.23 . We're going to go and hit up Switchfoot and Copeland on Feb 24th!! Nothing says I love you like a rock Concert :D Anyway I'm totally pumped to go and see Copeland in Concert, and hey Switchfoot isn't too bad either. And the fact that I am taking my best friend in the world is pretty sweet as well!!!!

Snowboarding went really well on Wednesday. It was nice to make it down the hill without falling. I can't wait to go again. Next step is learning how to switch from heel edge to toe edge... should be fun.

Yup that's all for now, back to sermon prep.

3 things I like

So here are two new things that I like
The first is the WonderCafe they say that they are "the home of open-minded discussion and exploration of spiritual topics, moral issues and life's big questions" It is run (sort of) by the United Church of Canada. Things I like about it. It is a good way to discuss and share your thoughts with people, and have comments in return. The second thing I like about it is that it is specifically a Canadian thing. So anyway check it out if your are in the mood for some discussion.

The Next thing is my Uncles Blog/Art. If you want to check out some cool stuff you can go to his Blog or you can go to his ART. Both are worth Checking out.

Finally there is this awesome band I found through Relevant call Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly. They're from England, and I only wish I had the thirty bucks to buy their CD off Amazon.... but until then I'll satisfy myself with their few songs on their Myspace.
